About Me
I am an award-winning multimedia journalist and anchor at KSDK 5 On Your Side in St. Louis, Missouri. I won an Emmy Award for my work on Race Relations stories and was nominated again the following year for a breaking news story.
I previously worked at WPMI NBC 15 in Mobile, Alabama. My work on the weekends played a part in winning a local 2021 Nappie award for Best Weekend TV News Team. I also won my second Murrow for ground breaking work on an FBI raid in Prichard.
I previously worked as a multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor for WHO-HD Channel 13 in Des Moines, Iowa. I was also an anchor, multimedia journalist and producer for KOMU 8 News in Columbia.
My story on the history of black Columbia was a major part of KOMU's 2017 Edward R. Murrow Award win for Excellence in Website. You can see the story titled "The African American Heritage Trail: Remembering the forgotten" under the reporting tab. I graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in December 2016.
My love for storytelling grew out of my love for books. As a multimedia journalist, I take pride in the ability to tell complicated stories in a way that makes them easy for the audience to understand.
